Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis (SCFE)
SCFE is a disorder in which the ball of the hip joint tends to acutely or gradually slip from its normal position. This is commonly seen in the adolescent age group and we are one of the referral centres for treating this problem. The solution could be a simple screw fixation for a mild slip or a complex re-alignment of the femoral head.
