Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)

Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)

FAI is motion-induced damage of the hip joint caused by abnormal contact between the femoral head (ball) and the acetabulum (cup) due to structural abnormalities of either the ball or the cup or both. This is a relatively new concept to India and ours is one of the few institutions offering cutting edge treatment for this problem with fellowship-trained experts on board. The following procedures are routinely done for FAI-

  • Safe surgical dislocation with Osteochondroplasty
  • Safe surgical dislocation with rim trim and labral repair
