Hip disorders

ABOUT

Paediatric hip disorders include a wide spectrum of problems which arise either due to congenital hip disorders or due to sequelae of infection, injury resulting in abnormal formation of hip joint resulting in anatomical and functional problems. Our doctors in the Paediatric orthopaedic team will evaluate children with suspected hip problems in the special hip programs including hip preservation and hip screening programs and will give you the best-in-class suggestion and explanation of the child’s condition by discussing in detail to the child’s parents.

Symptoms

Parents may notice their child with shortening of the lowerlimb or with restricted movements when giving perennial care. Child of walking age may have a limping and limb length discrepancy or difficulty in walking, pain during hip movements while walking or during sports activities are the various symptoms or complaints which make parents visit the hip clinic.
