Application process
- Eligibility: MS Orthopaedic Surgery recognised by NMC or DNB Orthopaedic Surgery by NBE (One year post-degree experience preferred)
- Interested candidates please fill in the online application form below
- Salary Rs.75,000 per month
- Last Date: 15th March 2026
- Online Exam: 22nd March 2026* subject to change if there are operational emergencies
- Examination fee: Rs. 2500 for a single specialty. (The candidate may select up to three specialties, with an additional fee of Rs.1000 for each extra specialty)
- Please note that online exam will be conducted at specific centres in select cities across India and the location of your exam centre will be notified closer to the exam*
- *Please note that a minimum of 20 candidates per center is required for conducting the exam. If the minimum required is not met, you may be assigned to the nearest available center.
- Ganga Arthroplasty & Arthroscopy fellowships will start on May 1st, 2026
- All other fellowships will start on 1st of July, 2026
Entrance Examination Details:
- It will be an online exam conducted at selected centers in various cities across India. The exam is scheduled on 22nd March 2026 at 11:00 am (provisional date).
- The exam is based on multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- For single specialty there will be total of 75 MCQs (40 from general orthopaedics & 35 from the specific specialty) which needs to be completed in 75 minutes. Those appearing for 2/3 specialties will get additional 35/70 MCQs and minutes respectively after completing the initial 75.
- Each correct response will be awarded 4 marks and wrong answer will carry one negative mark.

The exam will have 75 questions (40 general ortho+35 specific specialty). Candidates who have opted for more than one specialty will continue the exam for 110/145 minutes, with questions from their chosen specialty. Each correct response will carry 4 marks and the wrong answer will carry one negative mark.
The list of candidates selected for the online interview will be posted on the website. The individual ranking/marks will not be revealed.
