Dr Vimalambiga completed her postgraduation in Maxillofacial Surgery from Ragas Dental College and Hospital, Chennai. Soon after completing her PG degree she joined Ganga hospital as a Registrar in 2006. She later did a fellowship of International Board for the Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery(FIBCSOMS) in 2018. She has a special interest in Maxillofacial trauma, TMJ related surgeries, Oral cyst and tumors and Jaw cancers. She has presented in various national and international conferences and has 2 publications to her credit. She is also a member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India(AOMSI) and AOCMF.
