Fellowship in Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine
The Arthroscopy Department at Ganga hospital is one of the high volume arthroscopy units in the country operating around 1500 cases per year. This is one among the first centres in the country to start the NBE accredited FNB Sports medicine fellowship. This unit caters to a variety of knee, shoulder, elbow & foot and ankle disorders & is equipped with state of the art equipment and best expertise in the field arthroscopy. The MGR university accredited arthroscopy fellowship is a one year arthroscopy fellowship that was started in 2011. Fellowship training begins on 1st september every year with an intake of 2 fellows per year. Selection of fellows will be based on an online entrance exam and interview for shortlisted candidates. Fellowship Curriculum : This fellowship provides adequate exposure to a variety of knee, shoulder, elbow & foot & ankle cases. Fellows will be actively involved in academics with journal presentations & case discussions every week. Fellows will have an ample opportunity to participate in conferences/academic meetings at state and national levels. Fellows will have an opportunity also to actively involve in research & publish articles in national & international journals. Hands-on training for arthroscopy surgeries will be provided based on the performance and calibre of the fellow. At the end of the MGR fellowship, an exit exam will be conducted by the university and the fellowship certificate will be provided by the university upon successful completion of the exam.
