Arthroscopy & Sports medicine

The Arthroscopy and sports medicine unit of Ganga hospital is headed by Dr. S R Sundararajan. The unit is efficient in performing several complex surgeries of knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, wrist and elbow joint. Our centre has an intake of yearly one FNB (national board of examinations) and two Tamilnadu Dr MGR University Post doctoral fellow students. It's one of the few centres in India to have the FNB course in sports medicine. The unit has several research publications in national and international indexed journals.

The Unit also conducts international and national level meetings in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy & Training Courses and Workshops for Physiotherapists. We have three well-equipped operation theatres with experienced theatre staff. All procedures are performed based on current clinical evidence and implants used are of best quality available on par with international standards at a very affordable cost. Apart from good surgical results, post-operative rehabilitation is provided through experienced physiotherapists to get patients back to normal activities. Comprehensive post operative rehabilitation for all Sports and Ligament injuries are guided by an exclusive team comprising of 19 trained physio-therapists.
