Dr. V. RAJESH BABU is a Senior Neurosurgery Consultant at Ganga Hospital and also the President of the Indian medical association (IMA), Coimbatore. He completed his MBBS in 1987, M.S (General Surgery) in 1997 & M.Ch.(Neuro Surgery) in Sep 2001 & has been working as a consultant neurosurgeon at Ganga Hospital since 2010. During his tenure Ganga hospital was awarded the ‘Neurotrauma Institutional Award’ in 2017. Sir has been a recipient of many National and State awards during his tenure at Ganga Hospital for his contributions in the field of Neurosurgery and at various state and national medical associations. He is the Founder Member of The Erode Neurofoundation Trust ,Erode& Coimbatore Neurological Society,Coimbatore. He served as the Executive committee member of Neurological society of India between 2013-2015 . Dr Rajesh Babu won the Doctor of Excellence award by K.G. Foundation in 2008. He was the Organising Secretary Of The NSICON 2014,National Conference of Neurological Society of India,2014.Under his able guidance Coimbatore Indian Medical Association branch was awarded 37 awards by the State Indian Medical Association in 2018. Sir is actively involved in conducting public awareness programmes on Head injury, Epilepsy,Organ Donation, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke & diabetic neuropathy and periodic neuro update programmes for practitioners of Coimbatore.
