Dr. Sivakumar Singanallur Palanivelayutham is an Associate Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. Over the past decade, Dr. Sivakumar has established himself as a specialist in managing polytrauma, limb reconstruction, and geriatric fractures, with a special interest in bone and joint infections, demonstrating a deep commitment to clinical excellence and academic advancement. He completed his MBBS from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in 2009. He then earned an MS in Orthopaedics from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University in 2013. Furthering his qualifications, he obtained his DNB (Orthopaedics) and MNAMS from the National Board of Examinations and the National Academy of Medical Sciences, respectively. His foundational training provided comprehensive exposure to fracture fixation techniques, arthroplasty, and spinal trauma, which subsequently led to his subspecialization in orthopaedic trauma and infection management. Dr. Sivakumar's clinical journey at Ganga Hospital began in 2013, where he progressed from Registrar to Senior Registrar. In 2021, he was promoted as a Consultant, where he now leads a trauma unit, overseeing acute admissions, surgical management, and multidisciplinary care pathways. He is widely recognized for integrating his clinical practice with academic rigor. Since 2021, Dr. Sivakumar has coordinated institutional board examinations. Dr. Sivakumar is the recipient of several prestigious national and international awards, including: • Prof A A Mehta Gold Medal, IOACON 2015 at Jaipur – for his pioneering work in managing extruded bone segments. • Dr. Robert Bauze Trauma Medal, APOA 2019 at Bangkok – for evaluating injury scoring systems in limb salvage. • Finalist – APOA 2021 Awards (Hip and Trauma Sections)- Online event • Dr. A.A.
