Dr Praveen Bhardwaj started his career in Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore in 2003 as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics where he got the initial directions in hand surgery by Dr B J Kamath. His passion for Hand surgery brought him to Ganga Hospital where he joined as a Fellow in Hand and Microsurgery in 2007. After completing his fellowship in 2009 he continued to work at various levels and is now an Associate Consultant in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery. In his academic career he has won a lot of academic prizes (including IOACON National Orthopaedic Quiz) and earned fellowships notably the Asia Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (APFSSH) Junior Travelling Fellowship in 2008 and ETHICON Travelling Fellowship by Indian Society for Surgery of Hand during the annual conference in August 2007. He has undertaken formal training in wrist arthroscopy from Hong Kong under the guidance of Dr PC Ho.
He has presented more than 100 papers in the national and international scientific conferences at Ganga Hospital.
