Ganga Hospital Selected for International Society of Orthopaedic Centres (ISOC)
The Orthopaedic unit of Ganga Hospital has been elected to the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres (ISOC). ISOC is a very select group of esteemed orthopaedic units in the world. ISOC was started in 2006 and so far only 15 centres from the entire globe have been included.
Ganga Hospital is the first Unit from Asia to be invited to join this group. The membership is by invitation and limited to the best Orthopaedic Centres in the world. Centres with good track records in clinical work, teaching and research are only invited. The criteria for membership includes :
Function as a specialty orthopaedic hospital or as a large orthopaedic department within a hospital.
Perform >5,000 total orthopaedic procedures each year.
Have an orthopaedic staff of >20 surgeons who collectively publish more than five annual articles in peer-reviewed publications.
Conduct and exhibit a commitment to basic and clinical research.
Function as or within an academic center.
