Ganga Hospital conducts Hospital Infection Control Awareness Programme
The Hospital Infection Control Committee of Ganga Hospital is conducting a four day awareness programme for health care personnel of Ganga hospital. The programme was kick started on September 2nd evening at the Ganga Hospital auditorium. Chairman, Dr JG Shanmughanathan gave the inaugural address and stressed the importance of hand hygiene practices. Dr S Rajasabapathy, Head of Department of Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery, addressed the audience about why do we need infection control measures. This was followed by a healthy thought provoking debate between two groups of speakers on the two important reasons behind the poor compliance of hand hygiene viz, attitude and lack of knowledge.
This four day programme also includes video demonstrations, lectures by eminent speakers, quiz competitions, poster sessions, slogans for all health care personnel involved in patient care.
