    Changing lives, one life at a time…

    23 years young lady, suffered burns to her legs and while healing both the legs got stuck to the thighs. Can't stand, can't walk she became totally dependent on her mother for even the basic activities of life. For two full years the family suffered silently until they heard of our scheme. The members of the Rotary Club of Ooty , made the transfer possible.

    It took the team of doctors at Ganga Hospital four months to get her legs straight....

    When the child Farshad was 11 months old, the child sustained burn injuries when he accidentally placed both his hands in hot water. The wounds healed crippling ....

    Back to School Again

    7 year old Anusuya from a village near Dharmapuri district sustained burns in a house fire. When the wounds healed the right knee joint went into contracture. She is a motherless child and her father is a daily wage earner. With this deformity she could no longer walk and her schooling stopped. This is the beginning of the social disaster.

    Under the 'Hope after Fire', scheme she underwent staged reconstruction and she is back to school again. She runs to the school and takes part in all the games. Truly we prevent social disasters...

    Life turned to what he termed 'hell', when accidentally Babu got burnt while making tea during a break while at work.in Ooty. His suffered major burns to both hands and the upper part of the body. His life was saved but life became not worth living when slowly contractures set in. His lower lip got struck to the chest. Can't look up, can't control drooling of saliva he presented a horrible picture.

    He shuddered to come out of the house. Neighbours said that their children had nightmares on seeing his face. Life passed on ....

    27 year old Kathirvel, sustained burns in an industrial accident 7 months ago. He was an inpatient in a Government Hospital, where his life was saved, but unfortunately his both hands became terribly deformed. He had two camp surgeries, they made some mild corrections but the hands were too far away from any useful function.

    He had to depend on his mother for everything. They suffer triple loss, loss of function,....
